Design Aire Inc. Wins 2012 BBB TORCH Award

Design Aire Inc. of Bridgeton, Mo., is among 11 businesses and two charities that will be presented with BBB TORCH Awards for exceptional ethical business practices and customer service from the Better Business Bureau (BBB) Serving Eastern Missouri and Southern Illinois on Nov. 2.

Six grandsons of founder Frank Fischer run the BBB Accredited Business, and four great-grandsons also work there. Co-owner Jack Goldkamp said the company has been providing service to heating customers for more than 100 years, adapting as technology and trends changed and adding air conditioning service and installation after World War II.

“We strive to do the work right the first time,” said Mark Goldkamp, president. When customers call about a problem, “you have to listen and try to get to the bottom of it.”

“Everything stops until you understand what the problem is and take care of it,” said Jack Goldkamp. “It’s a reflection on the family. We do not like it to reflect poorly on us.”

#1 TRANE Dealer in Missouri and The Entire Midwest

March 2015, Trane awarded Design Aire Heating and Cooling their Golden Compressor Award for the #1 Dealer in the Heartland DSO (all of Missouri, all of Iowa, and Illinois south of Chicago). It was the 10th year that Design Aire received the distinction, #1 Trane Dealer in Missouri.

In February, Trane announced their Annual Dealer Awards for the Heartland Dealership (Missouri, Iowa, and southern Illinois). Design Aire Heating and Cooling was rated the #1 Trane Dealer in the Heartland DSO. Design Aire also received Trane’s Customer Service Award in recognition of our 99% Customer Satisfaction Rating.

Design Aire Heating and Cooling Earns Esteemed 2014 Angie’s List Super Service Award

The award reflects the company’s consistently high level of customer service. It is the fifth Super Service Award for Design Aire. Design Aire has earned the service industry’s coveted Angie’s List Super Service Award, reflecting an exemplary year of service provided to members of the local services marketplace and consumer review site in 2014.

“Our customers have always been our priority,” stated president Mark Goldkamp. “We really appreciate the recognition from Angie’s List and the reviews from all of our loyal customers.”

“Only about 5 percent of the Heating and Air Conditioning companies in St. Louis have performed so consistently well enough to earn our Super Service Award,” said Angie’s List Founder Angie Hicks. “It’s a really high standard.”

Angie’s List Super Service Award 2014 winners have met strict eligibility requirements, which include an “A” rating in overall grade, recent grade, and review period grade; the company must be in good standing with Angie’s List, pass a background check and abide by Angie’s List operational guidelines.

Service company ratings are updated daily on Angie’s List. Companies are graded on an A through F scale in areas ranging from price to professionalism to punctuality.
